No Hassle CashSM Rewards - Good Credit Details
This is a credit card that offers cash back rewards based on how much you spend using the card. Rewards are calculated as 1% of your net purchases on your card. Also, each year a bonus reward is calculated as 25% of the previous year's rewards will then be added to your statement.
While cash always sounds like a great reward, this program also allows you to redeem your rewards in the form of gift cards as well. This is a nice option as gift cards are great for giving away.
Your cash rewards do not expire and there is no limit to the amount of rewards you can earn using this credit card.
The interest rate on this credit card is 16.9% and unfortunately it does not offer any lower rates as introductory incentives. This is an average sort of interest rate. It isn't fantastic but it isn't really bad either. If you can qualify for a rewards card with a lower interest rate though, you might want to seriously consider it if you plan on carrying a balance on the account.
The interest rate on this card is variable so it may change quarterly based on the prime rate at the time. Basically the rate of this card works out to the prime rate plus 9.15. Balance transfers of up to $20,000 are permitted on this credit card but you are required to apply at the same time as you apply for the card initially. Capital One does not offer a reduced rate for balance transfers as many cards do as an incentive. If you are carrying debt on a credit card charging over this 16.9% though, and you don't qualify for a lower rate card to transfer it to, then this one will save you a little money over the long run.
There are a few other fees that this card charges. Cash advances are pricey as they are with most cards. The fee for a cash advance is 3% of the advance with a minimum of $10. Late fees are calculated based on your balance. For balances of up to $99.99 there is a $15 fee and for balances between $100 and $249.99 the late fee is $29. $39.00 is charged on balances above $250. If you go over your credit limit there is a fee based on what your credit limit is.
This is an average credit card with average rewards. It doesn't have the best interest rate or any introductory offers. |
